 Dan Hirschler was born and raised in the Wichita, Kansas area. He now resides in Valley Center, Kansas where he enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dan also likes to go fishing and hunting and he is always up for a hand or two of Poker.
After graduating from high school, Dan worked for Beech, Boeing and Derby Refinery. He then sold stocks and securities for First Home Investment and was a sales representative for Morton Chemical Company. Afterwards, he then moved on to doing sales for Hi-Plains Elevator Machinery and worked his way up to the position of Vice President before the owner sold the company.
In 1976 Dan became part owner of H and L Equipment who sold new and some used elevator equipment agricultural chemicals. Dan eventually bought all the stock in H and L to become the full owner until the company became a casualty of the Agricultural Industry financial slump in 1985.
After being a part of everyone else’s business, Dan decided to open his own company in 1984. With his son, Daniel, stepping in as Vice President, his wife, Rosemary, as Secretary/Treasurer and himself as major stockholder and President, Continental Agra Equipment, Inc. was born and still thrives today.
Currently Dan is enjoying a semi-retirement and spends a few hours a week at the office.
